
Akali Dal Chief Badal Attacked, Injured by Kirpan at Gurudwara in Nanded
Sukhbir Singh Badal, Akali Dal chief and former deputy chief minister of Punjab, suffered a hand injury after being attacked by Nihang Jaspal Singh at a gurudwara in Nanded, Maharashtra. The attacker used a kirpan; a security personnel was also injured. Badal is undergoing surgery at a private hospital while the motive remains unclear. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis ordered an investigation and assured assistance to Badal.
