
Former CPI(M) Theorist M.P. Parameswaran, Expelled Over "Fourth World," Dies at 92
M.P. Parameswaran, former nuclear scientist and prominent CPI(M) theorist, passed away in Thrissur, Kerala on August 11, 2026, at age 92. Born January 18, 1935, he was expelled from CPI(M) in February 2004 for his book "Fourth World," which advocated decentralised democracy and economic production detached from consumerism. He founded the All India People’s Science Network (AIPSN) and contributed extensively to popular science literature.
