Sabarimala gold probe: Kadakampally Surendran, former Devaswom Minister and CPI(M) MLA, quizzed by SIT
Kadakampally Surendran, former Kerala Devaswom Minister, was questioned by a special investigation team (SIT) probing the Sabarimala gold loss case. The SIT recorded his statement after photographs surfaced showing him with Unnikrishnan Potti, the prime accused. The SIT has also questioned P.S. Prasanth, former president of the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB). So far, 10 people have been arrested in connection with the investigation into the loss of gold from the Dwarapalaka idols and Sreekovil doorframes at the Sabarimala temple.
